In a recent article by Gazette Review, the UAE was listed as the 6th "fattest" country in the world. Although, the actual  statistics/research behind the article is unclear (they didn't say), a number of other sites have also listed the UAE within their top 20's.

We're not going to debate the truth to these numbers (according to Zurich International Life 47.5% of UAE residents are overweight and 13% are obese), everyone in Dubai knows that we all rely a little to heavily on the food delivery system, taxi's and hover boards and that we should all be looking towards the future of our health a little more.

Thankfully though, when it comes to health and wellbeing the powers that be here in Dubai lead by example and have ensured that we have an amazing exercise-and-health-friendly environment to help us maximise our healthy potential.

Here's the countdown from the report:

10. United States
9. Mexico
8. Qatar
7. South Africa
6. UAE
4. Egypt
2. Saudi
1. Kuwait

It all starts with a good example from the leaders of Dubai....and HH Sheikh Mohammed and Sheikh Hamdan really set the bar!

Both HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum and HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Al Maktoum are extremely active. Whether its horse racing or falconry, the leaders of our city really lead the way in inspiring us to stay active in our day-to-day lives.
