The Waterfront Market Just Got The Ultimate Seal Of Approval With This Very Royal Visit

HH Sheikh Mohammed, Vice President of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai toured the new Waterfront Market yesterday in the company of  H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and other senior officials.

The facility which includes a massive fresh fish and vegetable market, stores for dry goods, spices, dates, honey, retail outlets and an area for cafes and restaurants opened its doors to the public just last month and the new venue is still finding its feet.

The market acts as the new home for Dubai’s primary fresh fish market

Before now Deira fish market was where you went for fresh fish. That area has been shut to make way for this new sanitary facility. 

HH also toured the surrounding areas including the fishing boats and water taxi piers

The venue has 1,200 underground parking spaces for visitors
