A Cafe In Dubai Caused A Stir After It Illegally Brought In A CHEETAH For Its Promotions

With so many restaurants opening in Dubai just about every week, it makes complete sense that a lot of them decide to try everything possible to catch the limelight in their early days.

But sometimes, it can go a little over the top

A restaurant in Dubai just used a cheetah during its promotions.

The wild animal (which is illegal to keep as a pet in the UAE now, by the way) was seen walking around on videos posted to Instagram

According to Gulf News, an investigation of the café and its owner are to be carried out by local authorities.

Under Federal Law, individuals are eligible to obtain a permit for the possession of dangerous and wild animals such as cheetahs. Residents of the UAE who keep exotic pets can face fines of up to AED700,000, in addition to possible jail time.
