THE TAQUEIRAS ARE COMING: Three New Restaurants Have Taken Dubai’s Taco Scene To A Whole New Level

Taqueria – Noun. taqueria (plural taquerias) (chiefly US) A restaurant specialising in tacos and other Mexican food.

There are taco stands, and there are fancy Mexican restaurants. Somewhere in between, we find the taqueria, an informal taco joint, that is something more than a taco stand, trendier, and not quite as formal as your high-end restos.

And Dubai seems to have its fair share of openings lately.

Here are three places to try out.

1. Maiz Taco’s in Al Wasl

The truck is on Kite Beach, and the taqueira is at Dar Al Wasl Mall, Wasl Road, street 2D, backside direct entrance.

It’s open Sat-Wed 12-10pm, Thu-Fri 11am-11pm

2. El Mostacho in JLT

An authentic Mexican Taqueira, at Silver Tower JLT. Open 12-10pm (except Sundays – it closes at 6pm).

3. El Noctambulo is located on the corner of Building 8 in D3

The newest on the block and well worth a visit during the busy D3 events season.

It is a spacious place with an authentic style that is immediately relaxing
