All Deliveries In Dubai Need To Stop Doing This One Really Annoying Thing ASAP

Avatar

So it’s fair to say that all of us in Dubai are pretty obsessed with food delivery apps. Whether it’s Talabat.com, FoodOnClick, Deliveroo or Uber Eats. At work, at home, or where ever else we might need a quick delivery. It’s even more of a necessity in during Ramadan for those not fasting.

But in general, all juices and smoothies come in this plastic cup with a lid, and then awkwardly wrapped with cello tape. It takes ages to remove. And how long did id take to apply in the kitchen? The reason is for our benefit so that the drink doesn’t spill on the back of the delivery motorbike, but surely there is a better solution.

Please stop with the cellotape plastic cups

The issue is widespread, and certainly not just Circle Cafe who consistently provide quality food

So this isn’t a slight on Circle. In fact, it’s a way to say that I’m a huge fan of their food.

Circle Cafe is my go to delivery. No matter what app I’m on. I have my fave salads, and then treats at the weekend such as a smoothie or sweet potato fries with zataar. Nevery once have I been disspointed in over two years of ordering from there.

And a solution?

I tried under-500 in JLT the other day, mainly because I was in a rush and it say it would be there in twenty minutes. The juice came in a plastic bottle, isn’t that easier packaging for all? It’s still made in house and fresh, i.e the bottle was unbranded.

But what about the environment?

Having recycling bins at home and at work is a start. But there must be a better solution to plastic cups as delivery in general, does any one have any suggestions, answers below.
