An Emirati influencer, marathoner and executive director of the Emirates Centre for Strategic Studies and Research (ECSSR) has been honoured for taking (and successfully completing) an unprecedented challenge of running from Abu Dhabi to the holy city of Mecca for 2070km.

He embarked on this arduous journey on February 1 from the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi and ran for 40 days covering more than 55 to 70km in a day.

"I must say that this journey has been the greatest experience I could have asked for," said he in an Instagram post

Nothing less than a legend!

What an absolute boss accomplishment

His routine included running from 5 am every morning till 5.50pm in the evening

As per reports, he was accompanied by a full entourage including a medical team, a physiotherapist, two cook and three cars

"I finally performed Umra in the most sacred place on earth...

May God protect the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, their people, and the strong bond between the two countries"
