Rami Malek finally explained what went down that night
The actor opened about the incident on Tuesday’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! when the host replayed the clip to the audience, showing Malek approach Nicole to greet her, only to have her give him the unintentional cold shoulder.
“I’ve known her for many years, despite as it may seem from that video, so I thought I could easily go up and say hi, but in a moment like that, very awkward. I have a feeling this is probably haunting me on the internet,” he said.
“It’s alright,” he added. “I got love from Keith (Urban) that night, her husband!”

Cringeworthy moments aside, it was a great night for Mr. Robot actor who won Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture (Drama) award for his portrayal of Freddie Mercury.
