A New Australian Cafe Hidden Away In Al Quoz Has Just Opened And It’s Well Worth A Visit

Avatar

Boston Lane is a new cafe that has just opened in The Courtyard Dubai. It’s just opposite where Bounce is located and around the corner from Tom & Serg. While there are numerous cafe and restaurant openings in Dubai, this one is a little bit special, and here’s why.

1. It’s home grown

Founder Alexandra Davison was working with Bull&Roo in Dubai before she set this up. It’s got a lot of Australian influence (where Alexandra is from), but is very much an original concept.

2. The have real traditional milkshakes

We all love the food glory shakes taking Dubai by storm, but you also can’t beat a traditional milkshake.

They even opened with a Milkshake Party

3. It connects lots of designer shops at The Collective, by Ripe

It’s a cafe that brings the design shops around it together, there are about four or five, all open plan, it feels like a community, an outdoor space, such as Tribe, The Habitat Plat Shop and The Movement.

4. No fuss – they don’t even have plates

Food is presented with no frills. The cheesecake comes in a paper-slip. This place is very minimal, this has a DIY element to it. Which actually works really well.

Their toasties come it little paper slips too, and they are great.

Here is a look inside and a quick interview with Alexandra

– Look out for the giant meringues!
