One Of Dubai’s Slickest Pools Has Upgraded It’s Poolside Menu And It’s Definitely Worth A Try

This is probably Dubai’s best all-in-one venue….

There are many reasons to visit Zero Gravity – either to spend a day chilling by the pool and beach, brunching it up over the weekend, spend the night bopping away to their resident DJ’s, or to party at DXBeach…which is easily one of Dubai’s best music fests which is just growing bigger and better each year – although whether it fills the shoes of the much loved Sandance, which finished up three years ago, is still up for debate.

The venue is right beside Skydive Dubai, which means you could spend your day worrying about whether skydivers with poor navigational skills could land in on top of you… but luckily the music is loud, the view is unreal and the food is great, so in no time at all your forget to notice the tiny humans falling from the sky.

The whole venue underwent a huge refurbishment at beginning of last summer and they’ve recently introduced a new menu

Is it okay to say we weren’t expecting much? Yep, we live in Dubai, but poolside munch in every city usually leaves a lot to be desired. Staples like nachos, mini-burgers tend to usually dominate menus with not much else available.

They cover everything on the menu…sometimes this doesn’t work out for a kitchen, here it did

They’ve got pizzas, but don’t expect a regular margherita here. Creative options like the Tartufo pizza which comes with a cream cheese spread, cheese mix, truffle salami, beef short rib, asparagus, and fresh truffle coming with it. See what we mean about special?

Quality mains include an 8 hour braised lamb rump, or for people interested in a light bite (probably most if you’re hanging at a pool) they’re got sushi and sashimi, sandwiches and wraps, hot and cold mezze, and salad options.

And just like the pizzas, no option here is run-of-the-mill. Our dish of the day was a salad – the Sea bass ceviche, with red onion, red chilli, coriander leaves, two beautifully cut and cooked rectangles of sweet potato and Leche de Tigre. Fresh, light and flavoursome, the ideal lunch snack.

And the drinks menu is just as ‘gourmet’ as the food menu

Aside from the usuals, they’ve also got an extensive and creative cocktail menu. There’s an option to ‘Be Your Own Bartender’ too. Choose your spirit, add you mixers and whatever toppings you please. We tried this, and though the bartenders drinks were probably better (they’ve got the experience after all) it’s a fun option to see what concoction you can come up with.
