The UAE Looks Set To Appoint A New National Team Coach And The Reaction Is Underwhelming

Alberto Zaccheroni looks set to be appointed as the new coach of the UAE national team, replacing Edgardo Bauza who has gone on to manage Saudi Arabia.

The 64-year-old who has managed many of the top clubs in Italy including A.C Milan, Inter Milan, Juventus and Lazio winning the Serie A title with A.C Milan in 1999. 

He is known for the 3-4-3 formation, which is now seeing a rebirth and wide adoption by English clubs after Antonio content brought it into the Premier League last season. 

He spent four years in charge of the Japan National team leading them to the FIFA World Cup in Brazil, leaving afterwards as they failed to advance from the group stages. 

The UAE host the 2019 Asian Cup and will be looking to put on a good show on home soil.

Zaccheroni was interviewed arriving in Dubai Airport last night by Dubai Sports TV
