A New Smart Traffic Signal Has Been Installed And It Looks Incredibly Slick
The first smart pedestrian crossing has been installed at a traffic signal, on Al Saadah St according to Dubai Media Office who tweeted an accompanying video so we can see how it works.

Traffics signals will be adjusted based on the movement of pedestrians
The new smart sensors and cameras will detect movement and control traffic-flow based on the information. This should mean no more waiting on light signals to change if there is not traffic and therefore ensures a better traffic and pedestrian flow.
