Emirates Has Launched A New Video Series For ‘Upgrade Tips’
Every time, everyone flies, there’s a small hope that you’ll get an upgrade on your flight.
You hold your breath as you stand at the check-in counter, praying that you’ve won the airline lottery and are the chosen one to lounge in the business class cabin.
And Emirates knows our struggles, and has launched a new series of videos telling viewers how to get the ‘ultimate upgrade tip’.
The series of videos shows some of the ‘characters’ the airline sees at check-in, trying to get an upgrade
The videos cleverly showcase the various attempts people use for upgrades
Finishing with the line, “Don’t upgrade your seat, upgrade your airline”
Plugging Emirates’ economy offerings which are heralded as some of the best in the world.
Pretty clever!
Meanwhile if you do STILL want an upgrade…
The basic tips that are offered for how to get an upgrade are listed globally as:
-Be sure to be a member of the loyalty programme (Skywards etc)
-You must purchase a flex ticket (saver tickets are not eligible for upgrades)
-It’s more likely if you are a solo traveller
-Travel at quiet times
-Emirates also emails travellers a few days prior to departure, offering discounted business class upgrades (depending on availability). Be sure to always check your emails before you check-in!
