The Fog Has Caused Many Delays At Dubai Airport On Christmas Eve
Yesterday we woke up in thick clouds of fog, it made for some beautiful imagery, but today, on Christmas Eve, it’s no different. Motorists are driving cautiously in very poor visibility, and the fog is also impacting flights in and out of Dubai. This is the busiest peiord of the year at DXB so it’s no wonder that it’s causing some disruption.
Emirates have warned to check flight times
Fog in Dubai will impact arrivals & departures at @DubaiAirports. For updated flight status, please visit https://t.co/tspSL6P0VK

Some flights are going in circles
The fog in #UAE has flights going in circles I guess. Oman had its share with A380 of Emirates (A6-EEV) UAE501 landing in #Muscat early this morning. The UAE501 went in loops for a long time before landing in MCT #uaeweather pic.twitter.com/aO5s8CVpF7

People are missing connections
Its messed up big time. Look at the queues to sort out the missed connections. You can certainly do better than this. While it could be an ‘act of nature’, your customer service professionals should show some empathy towards the customers. pic.twitter.com/y1tAKshcJO

Some flights are being held on tarmac as it’s not yet safe to takeoff
Guys this is getting ridiculous. Flight EK02 from london is being held on tarmac at DWC airport for over 7 hours now. Not only this is illegal it is also a health hazard. News organisations have been informed. Please let the passengers out ASAP! or put them on a flight

Some people aren’t getting off planes to go home
@Emirates @DubaiAirports we arrived to Dubai DWC instead Dubai airport, but were grounded in the plane for more than 6 hours. They won’t let us leave the plane !! We just need to go home which is 15 minutes drive away. I don’t have luggage checked in still won’t let me go home!
