Virgin Atlantic has announced it will no longer be serving the Dubai to Heathrow route after 12 years according to a statement.
According to the airline, the route is no longer economically viable, after analysing the figures.
Virgin Atlantic’s chief commercial officer, Shai Weiss said: “It‘s never an easy decision to withdraw a route, and we’d like to thank our customers and dedicated team in Dubai for their loyalty over the last 12 years.”
Flights between the two destinations will continue until March 31, 2019
Meanwhile, Emirates has launched flights to London Stansted this month.
