3 Saudi Tourists Jailed For Drug Use After Police Raid Their Al Barsha Apartment
Three Saudi nationals have been jailed by the Court of First Instance.
After a tip-off, Dubai Police got a public prosecution warrant for arrest and search. A team of anti-narcotics police officers then raided the apartment the guys were staying at in Al Barsha and arrested the three of them aged 25, 22 and 19.
At the apartment:
The police found other Saudi people and three Moroccan women as well. They also found three cigarettes, suspected to contain hashish, and a bag with a suspicious substance. Plus, they seized 41.5 grams of hashish.
The urine sample tests were positive for hashish
The three men confessed to the police they took drugs and the 22-year-old said that the drugs belonged to him.
The sentence:
Two of them have been sentenced to four years each in prison for taking and possessing drugs, while the third has been given a three-month jail term for taking mind-affecting substances. All will be deported after completing their jail terms.
