30 Students From Two Different Schools Fell Severely Sick After Their Lunch Break On Thursday

The Ministry of Education (MoD) had to deal with a severe health crisis when 30 students from two different public schools in Al Ain came down with food poisoning on Thursday.

As per MoD, the students fell sick immediately after consuming their lunch during the break. The schools transferred the students to hospitals and clinics in Al Ain where they were treated for food poisoning.

Their conditions are now said to be stable.

The MoD has SUSPENDED the firm supplying food to both the school cafeterias.

“The Ministry of Education is working with the Department of Health in Abu Dhabi to provide the best standards of medical care to our students and to ensure that they are in good health.

The ministry formed an emergency committee to work with the Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority and the team has already sent out inspectors to investigate the incident,” they said in a tweet.
