AED5 Million Worth Of Counterfeit Goods Have Been Seized In Sharjah

Authorities in Sharjah have seized an estimated AED5 million worth of counterfeit products from Sharjah Markets. 

According to the Sharjah Economic Development Department, officials seized Dh5,286,720 worth of counterfeit goods.

The products are reported to be mainly bodycare and cosmetic items; amounting to almost 100,000 bodycare products and 40,560 cosmetic items.

There were also more than 40,000 fake auto parts seized. 

Authorities have warned against purchasing counterfeit goods for health and safety reasons.
