725 People In Al Ain And Fujairah Have Had To Evacuate Their Homes Due To Flooding

There have been hundreds of residents and nationals evacuated from homes in Fujairah and Al Ain as well as Khorfakkan in Sharjah due to flooding. 

A reported 167 nationals in Kalba have been sheltered at a Fujairah hotel, as well as 558 people in Fujairah. 

Emergency services are working to withdraw the excess amounts of water, and drivers are advised to exercise caution. 

The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority released a statement: 

“The Authority is liaising with all authorities concerned, including police and municipalities, to manage the current stormy weather and its efforts have contributed to reducing the aftermath of the situation,” said the statement.
