A Royal Affair Down At Abu Dhabi On The UAE National Day As Premiers Gathered For A Historic Show

This was one heck of a moment for sure, as a number of leaders from the seven Emirates gathered under one roof(less) stadium to enjoy a spectacle of a show.

UAE residents and visitors flocked to the Zayed Sports City Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Monday, December 2 to attend the grand theatrical show, ‘Legacy of our Ancestors’  which was put together to mark the 48th UAE National Day.

The essence of the enchanting show was to highlight the hardships and sacrifices of the nation’s forefathers who risked their lives diving for pearls in order to create the legacy that we see today.

The show was attended by the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces also attended the scintillating visual show.

H.H. Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed shared a heartfelt message and beautiful captures from the ceremony on his official Twitter handle

His tweet translates to:
‘Brothers, Rulers, Deputy Rulers and our guests witnessed the celebration of the 48th National Day under the slogan ‘Legacy of our Ancestors’ … We are all overwhelmed by our pride, values and our inherited heritage.’

His Majesty, Yang di-Pertuan Agong, the Sultan of Pahang was also present in the Capital for the monumental national day celebrations along with the UAE’s leaders

His Majesty can be walking alongside H.H. Sheikh Mohammed.

More than 20k people attended the extravagant show at the Zayed Sports City Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Monday evening

Abu Dhabi hosted a number of events throughout Monday, December 2, to entertain residents as the Capital was the official venue of the 2019 UAE National Day Celebrations.

The ‘Legacy of our Ancestors’ was a 50-minute theatrical treat that showcased the nation’s initial struggles, the great Emirati heritage and culture to a crowd of more than 20,000 spectators

The stadium was packed with Emirati citizens and expatriates from all over the world dressed in the national flag colours and waving the UAE flag to show the nation their pride and support.

A truly proud moment for all.
