Motorists Take Note! Abu Dhabi Drivers Are About To Be Hit With New Toll Gates Around The City

Drivers in Abu Dhabi take note; a new law is being introduced which will mean the introduction of traffic tolls in the city.

Law No 17 was approved by HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nayhan and means new toll gates will be erected in the UAE’s capital (similar to Salik toll gates here in Dubai). The location of the gates will be at the discretion of the Department of Transport.

The law also states that motorists who avoid paying the new fines could be subject to fines of up to AED10,000. Emergency vehicles will be exempt.
