The Average Cost Of Getting Your Child Through The Education System Is AED 1 Million

Recent reports on the rising cost of education paint a difficult future for parents hoping to send their children to third level education.

The UAE is the second most expensive country in the world to educate a child, after Hong Kong, according to a recent study by HSBC.

While a report by Zurich Insurance states it will cost parents approximately AED 1 million to educate one child from pre-school up to and including three years at a UK university. This includes the average cost of books and transport. 

Primary and secondary education alone can cost upwards of AED 500,000 for parents in Dubai

The information which was published by Gulf News stated the average cost per child is AED 528,486. The cost doubles when tertiary education is included.
