Boarding At DXB Terminal 2 Is About To Get Faster Thanks To A New System

Dubai Airports has announced a new system which will help speed up the boarding process at DXB Terminal 2. 

The Intelligent Traffic System (ITS) will speed up the efficiency of the buses transporting passengers from gates to planes. 

There will be a change in the system, where each bus will transport 60 passengers – rather than the previous 40 per bus, as well as reduce the number of trips by 20%, while optimising the coordination of the buses. 

T2 primarily boards planes through the bus system, and it’s expected to reduce passenger wait time, and improve the efficiency in which people are delivered to the plane. 

“The system is fail-safe, and provides a fully automated solution to coordinate bus scheduling which in turn reduces wait times for departing passengers.”
