Yesterday we brought you the amazing news that Uber was rolling out UberX, a transport service providing customers with cheaper rides.
With flat rates of AED 5, it looked like Uber X may have priced Careem, Uber’s biggest competitor, out of the market, but we didn’t really expect Careem to go down with out a fight.
…So today, just one day later, Careem rolled out it’s very own economical taxi service and it’s being hailed as ‘it’s most affordable Careem ride yet’.
Oh-oh the gloves are off we think.
