This Clever Initiative Will Provide Relief To 4,000 Cleaners Working Outdoors In Dubai
4,000 heat relief collars have been provided by Dubai Municipality to cleaners who work outdoors.
The cooling collar will act as protection against the hot summer weather, while reducing body temperature for between four and six hours at a time.
The collars are an initiative by Dubai Municipality’s Waste Management Department who stated that protecting the workforce is top priority:
“Protecting the department’s workforce is at the top of our priorities as the nature of work of this category requires working in the open and exerting a lot of efforts in cleaning operations.”

How do they work:
Each pack is filled with a gel which will remain cool for between four and six hours. The packs can be refrozen and reused on a daily basis.
The packs will named to avoid loss or confusion.
