The Crew Members Of The Attacked Tanker Have Landed Safely In Dubai Amid ‘Proof’ Iran Caused The Attacks
The crew of a tanker which was attacked on a busy Oman shipping route has landed safely in Dubai.
Two tankers – one Norwegian and one Japanese – were attacked in the Gulf of Oman last week. 44 crew members were rescued and there were no injuries. Now, crew from Norwegian tanker, MT Front Altair are in Dubai.
Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman publicly stated the attack came from Iran forces, joining the US in its allegations, however the UAE has not cast blame.
This explosion follows a similar attack which took place in UAE waters in June.
The 23 crew members of the oil tankers are safe and were assisted by the US Naval ships
Saudi publicly blames Iran
Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has accused Iran of being behind to the attacks which lead to an oil price rise of 4%. He stated the Kingdom does not seek war however it will ‘take a decisive stance’ towards any threat to its community.
The Trump administration, currently in a trade battle with Ira,n has made the same accusation. US President Donald Trump, who labelled the attacks as ‘minor’, is also making headlines for deploying 1,000 extra troops to the Middle East for’ additional intelligence’ in the region.
