A HUGE 105 Kilometres Of Cycling Tracks Are Being Added Around The City
You think the Al Qudra track is big? Well think again, in a major development Nakheel (one of Dubai’s biggest real estate developers) is to add a massive 105 kilometres of new bike paths around the city.
Although in all fairness, the Al Qudra tracks stands at a 50km, so as an independent track, that’s still pretty sizeable!

The entire project will cost AED 150 million
And if you’re living in any of the following Nakheel communities, you’re in luck: Jumeirah Village Circle, Jumeirah Village Triangle, Jumeirah Islands, Jumeirah Park, Discovery Gardens and Al Furjan.
“Our new cycle track network will make cycling more accessible and inspire people to get pedalling as a way to keep fit, socialise and help the environment. Under our plan, people will be able to bike their way to the shops, school and friends’ houses without getting in the car.”
Nakheel Chairman Ali Rashid Lootah
There’s a government’s ‘Cycling Master Plan’ and this is part of it
All part of promoting a healthier quality of living, the tracks will be for all levels but there will also be a 10km loop, the “super loop,’ made for the super speedy cyclists among us. Work is due to start in the next three months, so while we may not get to enjoy the tracks before this summer hits, it’s something we can look forward to next year.
