A Model Who Tried To Carry Heroin To Ireland Via Dubai Has Been Jailed In Pakistan

A woman who was attempting to smuggle nearly 9kg of heroin out of Pakistan, via Dubai and into Ireland has been jailed.

Tereza Hluskova, a Czech model, was found with the class-A drug stashed in a hidden compartment in her suitcase at Lahore’s international airport.

The 22-year-old denied the charges of trafficking, telling police two men gave her items to carry and she had no idea they contained drugs, according to international reports.

She will serve nearly nine years in a Pakistani prison

Hluskova will serve eight years and eight months at a prison in Pakistan. This seems bleak, although it’s a lenient sentence compared to what she would have been given if she were apprehended by Dubai police, who have a zero tolerance to drug trafficking.
