UAE Doctors Successfully Swapped An Index Finger For A Thumb

Doctors in Tawam Hospital, Al Ain performed a tricky surgery on a young Emirati girl successfully.

The two-year-old was born without any bones in her first digit; doctors swapped her index finger into the thumb position and following the cosmetic surgery, both her movement and functionality are vastly improved.

The girl’s mother thanked the surgical team for their efforts in helping the young girl overcome any future psychological issues she may have faced, according to Gulf News.
