Dubai Airports will soon run a pre-approval system 48 hours before you travel. If you’re cleared in pre-approval, passport check time at the airport will take just ten seconds.

The system was developed by the the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai and was announced this week.
It will be implemented before the end of 2019
The system has already been introduced in T3 but will be rolled out in Terminal 1, 2 and Al Maktoum International Airport before the end of the year.
The system will collect your data from the minute you purchase a flight and will cut what was a three minute process to a mere ten seconds, thanks to 65 employees collecting data behind the scenes.
