Dubai Is Having A Car Free Day And Here Is Everything You Need To Know
February 5th will be Dubai’s 8th annual car free day and Dubai Municipality is urging everyone to get involved.
They released this funny video to their Instagram account earlier today and it highlights all the reasons you SHOULD ditch your motor in favour of a walk/public transport. Either way, it will probably be perfect walking weather and traffic sucks so this is a great opportunity to do your little bit for the environment.

This is not the first of it’s kind:
The Car Free Day is an idea pioneered by the Dubai Municipality. Dubai has a commitment to becoming a sustainable city, and this event is a step in the right direction.
Participation in the day has evolved hugely since 2010; in 2015 30,000 vehicles stayed off the roads on the designated day, as opposed to only 1,000 in 2010.

Walk, swim cycle, get involved by going car free on the 5th of February! If you’ve never taken public transport to work before, you’ve got a good two weeks to figure out your route (and maybe take a couple of test runs!).
