A Government Warning Has Thrown Serious Shade On Influencers In The Region
This warning from Dubai Consumer Protection is important for all social media users.
The government authority is warning consumers regarding online content and the social media influencers we follow, asking consumers to make smart choices and not to be restricted to a product, meal or service based on the opinion on an influencer, as some of them are ‘paid to advertise convincingly’.
Cut to 0.21 where the following video throws SERIOUS shade on influencer’s work.
“Ask more before you make a purchase’
Dear Consumers:
Do not restrict your choices to social media influencers opinion on a product, service or a meal in a restaurant.
Some of them are paid to advertise convincingly to you.
Ask more .. before you make a purchase . #smart_consumer #empowerd_consumer pic.twitter.com/ITFrVRaJEE— حماية المستهلك – دبي Consumer Protection (@dubai_consumers) October 20, 2018
Make smart choices
“Dear Consumers: Do not restrict your choices to social media influencers opinion on a product, service or a meal in a restaurant. Some of them are paid to advertise convincingly to you. Ask more .. before you make a purchase”
And Twitter is full of praise

“only trust official accounts”
Those Instagram accounts are show off marketing …. and useless items in many cases…. I trust official accounts by real companies….
