A flight from Bangladesh made an emergency landing amid reports of an attempted hijacking this afternoon.
The plane, which was en route to Dubai from Dhaka made an emergency landing in Chittagong and passengers have been evacuated.
Early reports suggest a gun was fired, and the hi-jackers are still on board the plane. Police are at the scene.
According to local reports, a gunman took control of the cock-pit and forced the emergency landing. Passengers have disembarked safely. Airport operations at the Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong have ceased and the area has been cordoned off.
