A Dubai bound flight was stranded in Sri Lanka after a bird became lodged in the aircraft.
The bird hit the flight as it prepared to land at Mattala airport, causing the six hour delay and affecting 166 passengers who were preparing to leave for Dubai on a Fly Dubai flight.
The plane was eventually deemed safe for travel, after a crew of engineers surveyed the aircraft, according to Gulf News.
