A World First: Dubai Is Launching A Gender Balance Guide For The Work Place

Today will mark a world’s first.

A council is in place to launch the world’s first Gender Balance Guide for the workplace which will educate public and private entities in the UAE on achieving gender balance.

The council is committed to creating equal opportunities and working environments for both men and women.

The guide is expected to improve the UAE’s position in a highly regarded UN ranking; the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) ‘Gender Inequality Index’, by 2021, according to a report by Dubai Media Office.

Her Highness Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the UAE Gender Balance Council, and wife of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE and Minister of Presidential Affairs has commended the council on their achievements to date.

She highlighted the need for further progammes and initiatives supporting gender balance in the workplace to establish the guide.
