These Are The Roads That Will Be Closed For The Dubai Marathon For Parts Of Friday
The fit ones amongst us will be aware that Dubai marathon is taking place this Friday, which means some people will be running either 42km, a 10km or a fun-run for 4km (while the rest of us will probably struggle to get out of bed at reasonable o’clock!)
The race takes place on Dubai roads which means there will be some road closures. The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) have prepared a road plan for the day:

The marathon is in partnership with the Dubai Police and the UAE Athletics Federation. These are the closures you need to be aware of
The closure of roads used by the race on intersections of Jumeirah St.& King Salman bin Abdul Aziz St. starts from 6am to 12 midday.

Don’t fret, alternative routes will be available
Alternative traffic routes will be provided around the course of the race and surrounding streets in the area.

Impacted streets will be opened gradually after the passing of the last contestant starting from 9am until the end of the race at 12 midday.

The official race starts at Umm Suqeim and and on King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Street through both the Madinat Jumeirah and Dubai Media City intersections before returning to the starting point.
