Dubai Police Have Confirmed The Gulf News Editor Detained For His Wife’s Death Has Confessed He Hit Her

The Dubai Police have confirmed that Francis Matthew is in custody and has admitted to striking his wife

The Gulf News editor at large was taken into police custody on Wednesday after his wife, Jane, was found dead at their Jumeirah home last Tuesday, July 3. 

According to Dubai Police, Matthew has admitted to striking his wife, but says he did not mean to kill her. 

He called emergency services on the night, and police found him on scene trying to revive her. 

She was pronounced dead at the hospital.
