Dubai Teen ‘Locked’ In Her Room Messaged Dubai Police On Instagram To Get Their Attention

A family domestic was revealed after a 17-year-old messaged Dubai Police via Instagram to get their attention.

In her message she told police she was confined to her room for two days and had not been allowed to attend school according to a report in the Khaleej Times.

Police located the home and arrived to the surprise of her parents. The girl’s mother greeted the police, and admitted a small dispute between the family. The teen had visited a restaurant without her parent’s permission, causing the parents to confine her to her room. 

The parents told police no violence had taken place

According to the parents, the girl had missed a day of school without their knowledge.

To solve the dispute, Dubai Police held a session between the family, where the girl was advised to listen to her parents and the parents agreed not to confine the girl to her room again.
