The Driver Responsible For Driving Onto The Dubai Tram Tracks Has Been Fined

The driver, who accidentally mounted his car on the Dubai Tram tracks, and had to have the car craned out, has been fined according to police. 

The Arab national drove nearly 500m down the tram track in the early hours of Sunday morning, and was luckily uninjured. 

The police were notified of the incident at around 5am, and quickly arrived at the scene to rectify the situation, needing to use heavy machinery to get the car off the tracks.

No one was injured and no tram services were disrupted.  

What caused the driver to drive on the tracks is currently undetermined.
