IT’S OFFICIAL: Winter In The UAE Starts From TODAY Because Of A Giant Red Star Sighting
The weather in the UAE has been downright erratic- hovering between heavy rains and temperatures around 30 degrees Celsius.
But the beginning of the extreme cold weather officially starts from today, if Dubai’s Astronomy Centre is to be believed!
Confused by what astronomy has to do with weather?
The brightest star in the constellation of Scorpious- Antares– was spotted over the skies, which, in the Arab world, represents the start of the winter season.
The red giant star is called the Heart of Scorpion and was apparently used by the Arabs back in the day as an indication of the arrival of harsh weather conditions.
But what does the weather forecast actually say?
Temperatures are expected to drop on Saturday and hit the 19-20 degrees Celsius mark.
