An Emirates Cabin Crew Member Was Critically Injured After Falling From Plane Right Before Takeoff

An Emirates flight from Entebbe International Airport, Uganda to Dubai was disrupted after an Emirates cabin crew member jumped/fell from an open emergency exit, right before take off.

The woman, who has not been identified, was seriously injured in the process.

Passengers were boarding the plane when the woman reportedly spoke to her colleagues and then jumped from the Boeing 777.

She was rushed to Kisubi Hospital, her injuries are reported to be life threatening. Reports conflict on whether she jumped or fell however Emirates have released this statement…

Emirates has commented:

“We can confirm that a member of our cabin crew unfortunately fell off from an open door while preparing the aircraft for boarding on flight EK729 from Entebbe on 14 March. The injured crew member was brought to the nearest hospital. We are providing all possible support and care for the affected crew, and will extend our full co-operation to the authorities in their investigation.”
