Avatar

Following a successful five year partnership, Emirates and Qantas have applied to regulators for another partnership that would last up to 2023, but what does this mean for you?

The collaboration  and proposed plans mean there’ll be additional services between Australia and New Zealand. Ever wanted to travel to the home of the Kiwis? Well now your options are expanding.

The change comes as demand for the routes increase and the airlines are also committing to provide more options for customers between Asia, the United Kingdom and Europe, Middle East and Africa…

So from March next year, the airlines will focus on a non-stop Auckland-Dubai service

And services will be increased

There will be seven new return flights per week between Melbourne and Auckland

And an extra two return services per week between Brisbane and Auckland

“Reauthorisation of the partnership will allow us to leverage our combined network strengths to offer customers even more flight choices and reciprocal benefits for our millions of frequent flyer members.

It will enable us to continue developing world-class customer experiences, and contribute to stimulating increased opportunities for international trade, tourism and commerce.”

Emirates President, Sir Tim Clark
