A UAE Organisation Has Just Made One Massive Donation To Put An End To The Famine In Somalia

In a huge humanitarian effort and in line with directives of HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan President of the UAE, HH Sheikh Mohammed Vice President of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) are launching a campaign to put an end to the famine in Somalia and to help the millions of people affected there.

AED 100 million has been forwarded to provide relief and to aid development operations 

According to Government news agency Wam.ae, the ERC has launched the For_You_Somalia relief and development campaign, and the generous donation and campaign effort will provide relief to a country where millions of people are currently facing starvation.

H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan is calling on communities in the UAE to support the ERC’s efforts and is urging philanthropists to get involved in the campaign.

And further AED 5 million was donated by the Mohammed bin Rashid Charity 

It was announced to day by Wam.ae. The generous donation will assist families affected by food shortages.
