This Is The Traditional Emirati Menu Made Specially For The First Ever Emirati Astronaut

It’s no secret that the first EVER Emirati astronaut will venture into space this year.

Hazza Al Mansouri will join Russian cosmonauts on a trip to the International Space Station (ISS) where the team will stay for eight days conducting science experiments.

And brace yourself for some deliciousness, as it turns out The Space Food Laboratory company, who prepare specialised meals for the team is currently whipping up a storm in the kitchen, and Al Mansouri will enjoy a range of traditional Emirati, halal dishes during his flight, according to reports.

The canned food will be halal and prepared in advance by a team of specialists

The menus will have a mix of things, including balaleet, a breakfast option that usually consists of sweetened vermicelli with spices and an egg, saloona, a spicy Emirati stew and madrooba a chicken or cured-fish dish thickened with flour.

The 34-year-old is currently undergoing intense training at the Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Centre in Russia for the mission

Lift-off is expected on September 25

Following which, Hazza Al Mansouri will be the first ever Arab astronaut to visit space. Amazing!
