An Emirati Died After A Fellow Countryman Fatally Injected Him With Heroin

An Emirati was found dead in Al Satwa by a heroin overdose.

A fellow countryman is being charged with the death, after his DNA was found on the needle used. 

Police were alerted of a body in the area on October 21, 2015. Pills, cigarettes and the needle used to inject were all found near the body according to local reports. All evidence was examined by the Dubai Police Crime Laboratory.

The defendant, who was not present during the hearing, was arrested on November 9. The case is being heard at the Dubai Criminal Courts.

A verdict is expected on September 28.
