An Etihad Flight That Departed From Abu Dhabi Was Forced Into An Emergency Landing Early This Morning

An Etihad Airways flight en route from Abu Dhabi to Sydney was forced into an emergency landing early on Saturday morning.

The Boeing 777 completed a safe emergency landing at Adelaide airport, over 1,300km from the intended destination.

A warning indicator in the cockpit, caused by a suspected technical fault, caused flight EY450 and the 349 passengers to land at 5am local time according to reports.

The Saturday return flight from Sydney to Abu Dhabi has been cancelled, passengers will be rescheduled onto alternative flights.
