Explosion In Karama Restaurant Earlier Today

There was an explosion in Karama earlier today where one person was injured. The incident took place this morning in the Al Maskan building. A security guard who works at the building raised the alarm.

According to a Dubai Civil Defence spokesperson, a gas cylinder exploded inside of a Karama restaurant at approximately 7am. All the residents were evacuated once the alarm was raised.

“I heard an explosion at 6.50am, the entire building shook and there was smoke everywhere. There was damage all around but police were here within 10 minutes.”
