Dubai Financial Services Authority have warned the community and the public to steer clear of scammers pretending to sell fake Dubai International Financial Centre Commercial Licenses.

The scammers, that go under the name of ‘Investment Bank Limited’, claim that they are capable of selling DIFC licenses at US$25 million with a 10% advance payment when signing the contract.

A statement issued by the DFSA gave details of the scam, and showed what the fraudulent document used looked like. They also stated that ‘Investment Bank Limited’ is not apart of the DIFC Registrar of Companies, is not authorised by them, and does not exist in the DIFC.

The document is fake and is worth absolutely nothing

The DFSA warned individuals not to become involved with any parties that are not registered, as well as immediately reporting any similar-like situations on their website.
