Here Are Two Farmers’ Markets You Need To Check Out Now That It’s Fun To Be Outdoors Again

Avatar

We love nothing more than a lazy weekend milling around farmers’ markets.

Sampling tasty bites from local food trucks, stocking up on locally produced produce and lazing around on the grass. There’s nothing like it.

And now that the weather is (slightly) cooler, we can finally get out and start enjoying them again. Here are two worth checking out next weekend…

The Ripe Food & Craft Market

With plenty of pop-ups shops and three locations throughout Dubai, the Ripe Market is your go-to and it’s back for another season. It’s all about community at the market that brings together foodies, artisans, designers, jewellers, entertainers and musicians.

There’s also an outdoor cinema, free yoga sessions, sports activities, and a petting zoo, pony rides, soft play areas, a kids gym, art activities and face-painting for the kiddies

Here are the deets for this year:

  • Zabeel Park, Gate 2 – Every Friday 9am – 4pm
  • Al Barsha Pond Park – Every Saturday 10am – 8pm
  • Umm Al Emarat Park – Abu Dhabi, Every Saturday 3pm – 9pm

You’ll love the night lights at Al Barsha Pond park

Farmers’ Market by Baker & Spice

For a treat for foodies and families alike head to the farmers’ market at Business Bay. The event supports local organic farmers as it allows them an avenue to sell their homegrown produce direct to market. So if you’re a customer, you can expect fresh goods.

On top of that, the market sells fresh fruit, honey, eggs, bread, sweets, pastries and more.

This one is handy for Downtown residents and as it’s located at Bay Avenue in Business Bay, it’s easy to reach from the Business Bay Metro station.

Catch it every Friday and Saturday from 8am until 1pm

It kicked off on October 13
