Two Female Emirati Police Officers Are The Latest To Join The Dubai Police Sniper Unit

Female police offers have joined the Dubai Police elite sniper squad after successfully graduating from the sniper course.

The Dubai Police aim to empower the women in the force hence qualifying a number of female snipers into the team.

The course’s graduation ceremony took place at the Training City- Al Ruwayyah, in front of Major General Abdullah Ali Al Ghaithi, the Acting Assitant to the Commander-in-Chief for Operations at Dubai Police; as well as Colonel Obaid Bin Mubarak Yarouf, director of Security and VIP Protection Department, and a group of officers and trainers.

More and more women are being included in all sectors of Dubai’s workforce

The female officers who took part, showed exemplary results in completing the course. Its classes included lessons on archery principles, safety precautions, mathematical questions for shooting and dealing with humidity, mirage and ways of observation.

Dubai residents applauded the news, and exclaimed their support for the developments that keep taking place in the Emirate.

The Dubai Police have also gone above and beyond to promote the benefits of taking part in this month’s Fitness Challenge
