Finally There Is Something That Should Clear Up The Lack Of Parking Spaces Around Dubai

The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) repeated its message to all car rental companies to have their space or carport to park their vehicles so that it clears up congested parking spaces for the public.

Along with this new parking rule, RTA also has new regulations on those who want to open up car rental businesses

Nasir Al Haj, director of Commercial Transport Activities at RTA’s Licensing Agency, told Khaleej Times that “anyone who wants to enter the business should have at least 10 vehicles to be registered”. Apart from this, they are to show proof of having their own parking space for the rental cars, to ensure that they aren’t taking up the public or a neighbourhood’s parking space.

“The company has to provide at least 10 cars during the starting year at the main office and three vehicles in each branch. In case an entity owns vehicles exceeding Dh600,000 in value, the company shall have at least five vehicles.”

Another rule for new companies to know is that the car rental office has to submit a list of disowning the cars in the event of cancelling the license

The car rental office should submit a list of disowning the vehicles in the event of abolishing the license.

The rule for car rental’s personal garages isn’t a new rule, reports say

Al Haj said that although it is an old rule, it needs to be reminded to the car rental companies because failure in providing this could lead to a revoke of the company’s trade license. Even a small garage should do.
